Mr Veko Fab Track of the Week

Heyho ladies and gents. I'm bringing you the new beatness a bit earlier this week. I got 2 very sexy tracks for this week again, so you're getting them both again (but hey 'tis almost the season right ?)

First track is a remix of a track by the great Jesse Rose. The track is one from his new album "What would you do if you don't", and is called Well Now. This is the rerubbed version by the Savage Skulls on Dubsided. Mark my word kids, this remix will break dancefloors in half. Bomb track detected !

Second track is another remix, and this time it's the Dutch wunderkind Joris Voorn who's doing the remixing. He took Pitto - Feelin' to an even higher level. The original mix was already sexy as hell, but Voorn kicked it up a notch, Bam ! More dancefloor hotness...

Mr Veko Fab Track of the Week

Since I couldn't decide between 2 tracks this week, you're getting them both + We're taking things a bit harder this week with some techno.

First track is from the Abnormal Boyz, I accidentally stumbled on one of their sets and I liked it. They have a broad music-taste, going from heavy techno beats to a more minimal sound and one of the tracks in this set was one of their new on the great Style Rockets label.

Second track is the newest from Secret Cinema on Sven Vaths Cocoon label. This Dutch talent is always a guaranty for great beats combined with nice melodies (remember Fine Tune ?)

+ Seeing that rapidshare is being a pain in the ass recently, I've reupped all the previous tracks to mediafire for an extra download link.

enjoy.

Mr Vekos Fab Track of the Week : House

Alright ladies and gents, yet another week has gone by. Time for a new track. But today we're gonna do it a little bit different. You're not getting 1 track, you're getting 3 ! This week is for all those whiny bitches out there who keeps complaining

"But Mr Veko, you play house don't you ?
Why do you keep posting non house tracks as your fab track of the week..."

First track is by Jangatha, an upcoming talent from Pittsburgh. This guy shows a lot of promise and is getting support by some of the great house gods like Mark Farina. Be sure to check out his myspace, he already has a lot of fine releases and some more upcoming in the near future.

Next we get funky with Sammy Bananas. I discovered this Brooklyn re-mixer by accident during one of my sample-listening frenzies and I really dig his tracks. He's already remixed the likes of Chromeo and 45 King, and his latest Fool's Gold EP Braids & Fades is a tribute to the biker-shorted divas of the 1990s, chopping up their r&b hits into uptempo club tracks. The approach has already made fans out of influential BBC DJ Annie Mac and platinum producer Will.i.am.

The last track is a one by Wattie Green. This musical talent from Nashville - Tennessee, delivers swinging house tracks with every release he does. He's got tracks on some of the best house labels currently available like Flapjack and Juice. He gets a lot of support from the big uppers like Frankie J, Greenskeepers and Nate Laurence. For those of you wondering where the hell the famous sample is in this track comes from, well it's Cricco Castelli's Life Is Changing.

Mr Veko Fab Track of the Week : Bird Beating

About 3 years ago I first discovered the brilliant mind of mister Claude VonStroke. This genius had created a bomb track with his Deep throat and after that the beatness didn't stop. The madman behind Dirtybird records and his Mothership label kept throwing dance floor hits at us like The Whistler and Richie Hawtins favorite track of 2006, Who's Afraid of Detroit.

After all these great tracks, I was rather excited in hearing some new work from him, but his new album Bird Brain was really really disappointing :(

But have no fear, thank god for remixes !

This weeks track is a co-production with another great Dirtybird mind, Justin Martin and remixed by the wacky Donk Boys. The track is inspired by an old skool house record from 1994 by Johhny Dangerous called Beat that Bitch with a Bat.

Yes, due to popular demand I will be uploading the full track every week for all you lazy bastards out there, but remember if you like the artists, support them by buying the goddamn tracks !

Mr Vekos Fab Track of the Week

This weeks track is one brought to you by the great minds of Stanton Warriors. This British duo are true pioneers of a sound that broke all the rules back in 1998. Stanton Warriors took garage and twisted it beyond all recognition, dropping speaker shattering bass lines and massive beats... all to devastating effect.

These 2 gents keep on delivering great beats with their records, so it was the obvious choice that they would pass my record of the week.
